How old do I have to be to get a tattoo/piercing?

Tattoos
You have to be 18 years old to get a tattoo. If you are lucky enough to look under 21 years of age we will require a form of photo id, i.e. passport or drivers license before we can tattoo you! Parental consent is not sufficient for us to tattoo you.

Piercing
In our studio, you have to be 16 years old to get  most piercings. However, we do require parental consent. Certain piercings are not available if you are under 18. Again, we will require a form of photo ID to prove your age.

Do I need to book an appointment?
We work on an appointment basis. However, walk-ins will be taken on the rare occasions the studio isn't busy.
Appointments can only be taken in person as a deposit will be required to confirm your space.
If you have any queries feel free to phone, e mail here or better still call into the studio.

Please note that appointments cannot be made over the phone or via email! And it is very difficult to give a quote via the
phone or email as well, as there are so many factors which go into a tattoo, size, detail, colours etc.

How long will I wait to be tattooed/pierced?

Each artist will have different waiting times due to workload. If you contact us at the studio we will be able to give you details of our next appointments.

How much is a tattoo/piercing?

Tattoo prices start from €40 upwards. This depends on design and size.  Custom and larger work is charged by the hour until complete.

Piercing prices start from €20.

What styles of tattooing do you do?

We cover all styles of tattooing and offer tattoos from lettering to full back pieces.

Can you design a tattoo for me?

We are always happy to take on custom work. You are more than welcome to come down to the studio with ideas and any reference material you have so we can discuss your design with you. To get a design drawn up you need to book an appointment to show you are committed about getting the design tattooed as this can be a time consuming process.

We also have 1000’s of designs at the studio for you to look through if you need some inspiration and you can always check out our links page for some ideas there!

When can I see my design you have created?

We will have your design drawn up a couple of days before your appointment so you can come down to the studio and agree the final design.

Can I choose who I get tattooed by?

You are more than welcome to choose who you get tattooed by. As you can see our artists have differing styles so we can suggest who will be better suited for the style you want.  Just let us know who you would like to be tattooed by when you are making an appointment.

Is there anything you won’t tattoo?

We reserve the right to refuse tattoo designs we feel are inappropriate and can refuse to tattoo certain areas on the body if we don’t feel it is suitable for the customer.

How do I look after my new tattoo?

Remove dressing a couple of  hours after you leave the studio, or when you get home. Gently wash the tattoo area with warm water and a non perfumed soap such as carex or dettol. If possible, shower rather than bathe whilst the tattoo is healing so that unnecessary water exposure is prevented.

Pat the tattoo dry with a clean hand towel or tissue. DO NOT rub the tattoo this will irritate the skin. Once completely dry, apply a thin layer of Bepanthen cream (available at the studio or at any good chemist) on the tattoo, then twice a day until it heals. A thin scab will develop on the tattoo as it heals. This will naturally fall off over a 7-10 day period. You may see some colour in the scab however this is fine.

Do not let the tattoo dry out this will cause a larger scab and cracking to occur.
Do not use skin products on the tattoo that have not been recommended by the tattooist.
DO NOT PICK THE TATTOO. No matter how tempting, this will cause colour to drop out and ruin your new tattoo!
Do not let any tight clothing rub against your tattoo this could cause irritation to the tattoo.
Do not go on sunbeds, in swimming pools, or overexpose it to the sun while it is healing as this will affect the tattoo.
Always keep the tattoo covered if you work in a dirty/dusty/oily environment

The tattoo should be healed completely in 4 weeks. If you have ANY problems with your tattoo or it is not healing as described above please drop by the studio so we can advise you further.

How do I look after my new piercing?

New piercings should be cleaned once a day. Always wash hands before touching the piercing. Never use cotton wool or cotton buds to clean your piercing. Gently clean the piercing using a piece of tissue/ kitchen paper and warm salt water. Rock salt is recommended due to the lower levels of impurities in it. Gently move the jewellery to make sure it's free moving and not stuck. Keep the jewellery you have been pierced with in for 6-8 weeks before changing it.

For Oral Piercings

Keep the jewellery in for 2 weeks until the swelling has gone down then change to a
shorter bar so as not to knock the teeth. For the inside of the mouth use an antibacterial mouthwash (alcohol free) or saline solution. For outside of the mouth, same as above.
It is your own responsibility to check that the balls are tight and fastened securely. Check them twice a week to ensure they have not worked loose.

While healing you should always wear the jewellery fitted by the piercer as changing or removing the jewellery can cause damage or the hole can close over completely. Try not to sleep on your piercing or have clothing rubbing on it.

Remember that a clean, dry pressure free piercing heals quickest!

Again, if you have ANY problems with your piercing or it is not healing as discussed with the piercer please contact the studio so we can advise you further
